Neighborhood Update
Here's what's comping up over the next few weeks and months.
> August 17th it's our Semi-Annual meeting where we'll get reports from the various committee members and talk a little about our plans for the balance of 2010 and also discuss 2011.
> Sept 20th is our Annual Woodhaven Scholarship Golf Tournament. Over the past decade we have raised and donated over $140,000 to east side high school seniors to help them further their education. If you'd like more information about the golf tournamet just click here.
> The next day, Sept 21st is our Sept dinner meeting. We're thinking about having Pokeno like we did last year but that's not completely finalized yet. We'll let you know as soon as we firm everything up.
> October 19 is the final neighborhood meeting of 2010. Last year we had a Business to Business Expo and if we can find someone to help put it together we may do that again. Again, we'll let you know soon.
Naomi Scott chose AMBIT Energy as her electric provider after she heard about our relationship with Ambit Energy. She got a good deal on her electricity rates and WNA will now get a small commission each month from Ambit because she signed up through our web site.. So if you're looking for a good deal from an electric provider we hope you'll check out AMBIT Energy. They have very competitive rates and if you sign up online thru http://wna.joinambit.com.WNA gets a small $4.00 a month commission. Or you can call Elizabeth Olivia at 817-925-5898 and tell her you'd like to sign up and support Woodhaven Neighborhood Association.
Before I sign off I'd like to personally ask you to get behind the Woodhaven Scholarship Golf Tournament. Come play if you can. Better yet, put a foursome together. Even if you don't play you can still help by sponsoring a hole or by buying a raffle ticket. Oh, and speaking of the raffle we have some great prizes this year and they're not all golf related. A big scree hi-def TV, a Blue-Ray player and more so please contact me, Gary Johnansen, Joe Epps or Peggy to buy your tickets or to get more info.
Thanks everyone.
